Dress Rehearsal/Recital


Dress Rehearsals & Recital are held at the Brandon High School Performing Arts Center.

It is located at 1025 South Ortonville Road(M-15).


Dress Rehearsals

For all dress rehearsals - Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Dancers should be in their costumes ready for their first dance. Please have your hair and makeup done. Hair should be in a bun, no swinging pony tails. All hair pieces are pinned on the right. Makeup consists of red lipstick, brown eye shadow, blush, mascara, and eyeliner. Dancers should sit with their ballet class; seats will be labeled with class times and each dancer is allowed 1 adult to be seated with them. Please remain in you seats until called up to perform. This is a wonderful opportunity to watch the other dances. Costume changes may be made in the dressing area, please keep your costumes with you in the seating area as the backstage dressing area is very limited during the dress rehearsal. You may get your pictures taken in-between your dances during dress rehearsal.

Feel free to take videos and pictures during dress rehearsals!

NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE ALLOWED IN THE AUDITORIUM OR BACKSTAGE!!!! WATER ONLY!! ENJOY YOUR SNACKS IN THE FOYER.

Recitals

For all recitals - Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your cast time. Come dressed in your first costume with your hair and makeup done. Dancers should immediately go down the band/choir hallway to their designated area. Only 1 parent may come back to help set the dancer up. If dancers have multiple costumes a small laundry basket or individual costume bags work well. Please no soda or food as the dancers may get it on their costumes. Bottled water is okay. There are adults backstage to help with costume and shoe changes. PARENTS… Please do not come backstage during the performance or at intermission. This puts extra stress on young dancers and makes it hard for them when you leave. After the show 1 parent may come back to pick up the dancer. This makes it much easier for us to dismiss them and keep the hallways clear.
